Audit Manager
Description
The Audit Manager is responsible for the overall planning, execution and completion of the annual audit plan. This position is also responsible for reviewing all audit work and ensuring that it is performed to the degree necessary, as well as ensuring the validity and content of audit reports.
Responsibilities:
• Resolve significant issues with the audit team and with division management
• Opine on the effectiveness and efficiency of control processes, transaction processes and auditee job performance.
• Assess the business risk of transaction processes throughout the Company through regular contact with Division Management and evaluation of business plans.
• Direct audit projects by providing staff with the framework and direction of audit approach and scope.
• Ensure all audits are conducted within the standards of the audit profession and the department.
• Supervise the work of Audit Supervisors, Seniors and Staff to ensure that work papers support the audit conclusion, are prepared and filed on a timely basis, and comply with professional and departmental standards.
• Provide the CFO and Audit Director with status reports of audit progress and conclusions are reached. Prepare presentations to Senior Management and the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors, as needed.
• Responsible for preparation and adherence to the department budget.
Requirements
• Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance
• CPA or CIA
• 5-7 years audit experience preferred
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Demonstrate strong negotiation skills
